Through a ceremony at the Ministry of Culture, the National Lifetime Achievement Award "Muslim Mulliqi" was awarded to the first woman to graduate in painting, the late Alije Vokshi, who was accepted by her daughter. Likewise, the Annual Award for Achievements in the Field of Visual Art for 2023 has been awarded, which the painter Esat Valla received.

After the prize distribution, the Minister of Culture, Hajrulla Çeku expressed gratitude for the special contribution of Vokshi and Valle in the field of culture, until he expressed his honor for the awarding of these awards.

Çeku assessed the distribution of these rewards as a very important moment.

The daughter of the deceased, Alije Vokshi, Visare Vokshi Selimaj expressed herself excited and privileged after accepting the National Award for Life Activity "Muslim Mulliqi".

Likewise, the winner of the Annual Award for Achievements in the Field of Visual Art for 2023, Esat Valla, expressed his honor for receiving this award.

Meanwhile, the member of the evaluation committee for the distribution of these awards, Valbona Zherka, highly appreciated the contribution of Vokshi and Valla, while emphasizing that it was a privilege for her to be appointed as a jury for awarding the awards.

Zherka said that both artists have given a lot of themselves for the education of generations and their successes.

Alije Vokshi is the first woman to graduate in painting, becoming one of the pioneers of visual art in Kosovo. Alije Vokshi's works are known for capturing the emotional expression that remained central to Vokshi's practice, until she developed her style moving from figurative expressionism to abstract expressionism and drawing.

Vokshi has been engaged as a professor at the Faculty of Arts since its establishment in 1974, until her retirement in 2015. Vokshi's works are part of the collection of the National Gallery of Kosovo and the National Gallery of Arts, Tirana.

Meanwhile, professor and painter Esat Valla is known for his surreal paintings.

Valle's creativity is inspired by his place where from time to time we see the windows as symbols that enter his works introducing the spectrum of refraction of light in its reflexes and silent characters, the world in front and behind the frame. He continues to be active in his artistic expression even today.
