During the year 2023, the Kosovo Police Inspectorate received about 1697 complaints from citizens, investigated 178 suspects, of which 156 were police officers and 22 citizens who were in common cases with police officials, arrested 35 employees and citizens and recommended suspension of 71 police officers of different ranks and levels.

This is what the chief executive officer of the KP Inspectorate, Kushtrim Hodaj, has stated in the Commission for Security and Defense issues.

Hodaj said that the fight against corruption continues to be one of their priorities, therefore IPK has managed to increase the credibility of citizens.

Asked by the chairman of this Commission, Bekë Berisha, about the issue of police promotion, whether they took investigative measures and how the process went, Hodaj added that suspicions of irregularities were raised in some classes where the test was held and a dilemma about right or not to apply a generation.

Also, Hodaj emphasized that IPK has received a complaint from MINT, to verify whether the investigators who requested classified level documentation were equipped with the necessary certificates or not.

For this, Hodaj emphasized that the documents were classified as secret documents.

While, regarding the inspection of the stations in Pristina, he has continued that it is in the process, while the police stations in other cities face a lack of technology, uniforms, patrols and many others.
