The International Airport of Pristina "Adem Jashari" LKIA is continuing unlimited successes during the last years where there has been extraordinary progress in the number of passengers and flights.
This is stated in the communiqué issued by the spokesperson for information of ANP Valentina Gara, where the number of travelers and flights in the first quarter of 2024 was announced.
Gara added that 2023 reached its conclusion with 3,424,883 passengers or 14,37% more than 2022, while the number of flights was 23,278 flights or 7,50% more than 2022.
"The first quarter of 2023 had 649,858 travelers while the year 2024 served 839,546 travelers or 29,19% more. The first quarter of 2023 served 4256 flights, while the quarter of 2024 had 5376 or 26,32% more," it said.
"We are excited to witness the tremendous success we have achieved in recent years. We thank our travelers, partners, dedicated staff and the entire community for their invaluable support. Moreover, we attribute this success to our unwavering commitment to provide the best possible services and guarantee the highest levels of security to our valued customers. The satisfaction and safety of our travelers remains our top priority," said Ozturk.
According to the communiqué, the increase in the number of travelers and flights has also resulted in a great contribution to the Republic of Kosovo.
It is also known that during the year 2024, new lines and new additional frequencies to the existing ones have been added.
"Additional new routes and frequencies added for 2024 are: Luxembourg, Halmstad, Riga, Izmir, Frankfurt Hahn, Burgas, Cologne Bonn, Oslo, Copenhagen, etc.," the announcement concludes.
