The Committee for Budgets, Labor and Transfers will refer to the Ministry of Finance, so that the Central Election Commission's budget for 2024 is increased. This is due to the request made by this institution.

The secretary of the CEC, Burim Ahmetaj, said that in the framework of transparency, the CEC planned to buy surveillance cameras for each polling station. In order to be equipped with these tools, he said that in total they exceed the amount of 1.5 million euros.

On the other hand, discussing the 2022 report, the chairman of the CEC, Kreshnik Radoniqi, said that the general budget of the CEC for 2022 was 6 million 24 thousand 134 euros, while he emphasized that of this amount spent 93.2 percent.

The deputy from Vetëvendosje, Visar Korenica, has said that it is disappointing that during the report the accounts receivable were not presented properly, which is why he asked to eliminate these problems in the future.

Meanwhile, for this Radoniqi said that they have dealt with this issue, but it concerns some fines that have been imposed on some political entities that no longer exist and have no subjectivity, until he added that there is no possibility for the CEC to collect these funds.

Meanwhile, the deputy from the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Mergim Lushtaku, said that instead of discussing the reporting for last year, they are discussing two years ago, for which he said that this regulation should be changed so that accountability is more fast.

In this meeting, the Committee for Budgets, Labor and Transfers voted the annual financial report of KOSTT for 2022, while that for the Prosecutorial Council of Kosovo for 2022 was postponed until the next meeting, due to the lack of representatives of KPK. /E.Krasniqi/
