Kosovo's deputy prime minister and chief negotiator for dialogue with Serbia, Besnik Bislimi, and Serbia's chief negotiator, Petar Petkovic, are expected to meet today in Brussels. Among the topics that the chief negotiators are expected to discuss in the framework of the dialogue on Tuesday, will be the issue of the dinar.

The special emissary of the USA, Gabriel Escobar, left Kosovo on Friday with the message that Prime Minister Albin Kurti rejected his proposals for the dinar. The president of the country, Vjosa Osmani, has said that the agreement has been reached that the money from Serbia will come only in euros and not in dinars. She has said that the issue of the Serbian dinar in Kosovo must be resolved urgently and that there is already agreement on part of the American proposal on this issue.

Osmani also said on Monday that it is positive that "the international community and the USA agree that there will be no circulation of the dinar in Kosovo".
