The Supreme Court of Kosovo has rejected the requests of the defense party of Labino Gruda and Kadri Shala in the case of the theft of 2.1 million euros from the Treasury, thus confirming the previous sentence of 21 years in prison and a fine of 41.500 euros.

Labinot Gruda was convicted for the criminal offenses of misuse of official position or authority, access to computer systems, theft of identity and access equipment and money laundering, while Kadri Shala was convicted for the criminal offenses of aiding in the commission of a criminal offense and misuse of position or official authority and money laundering.

Meanwhile, the requests for protection of legality submitted by the defenders of the representatives of third parties: E SHPK, NTSH "Sh.", NTP "X.", G. Shpk", "GK SHPK", "RH" and "MBG SHPK ” against the judgment of the Basic Court in Pristina and the judgment of the Court of Appeal of Kosovo, have been dismissed as impermissible.

Otherwise, the Basic Court in Pristina on December 7, 2022 sentenced Labinot Gruda to an 8.500 euro fine and 11 years in prison, while Kadri Shala to a 33 euro fine and 10 years in prison.
