The Football Federation of Kosovo wants to inform the public about the situation of the "Fadil Vokrri" stadium and UEFA's decision not to hold matches in this stadium.

In an announcement it is stated that the Football Federation of Kosovo in cooperation with the Ministry of Sports, will do the complete renovation of the field in this stadium, this investment will be carried out by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.

President Agim Ademi and Minister Hajrulla Çeku have agreed to transform the carpet of this stadium into a hybrid field of the highest level, as work will begin from the base of the field: drainage, the new irrigation system, and for the first time this field will also have the system of heating.

This project will provide a modern field, as in all world football arenas, which the 'Fadil Vokrri' stadium deserves and which UEFA has also requested.

From now until the complete renovation, the football activity in the "Fadil Vokrri" stadium will stop. As a result, the friendly matches of the National Team, in March, will take place abroad.

FFK says that the "Fadil Vokrri" stadium will be ready to welcome national teams and clubs from the next edition.

At the same time, FFK regrets that Balkan will be forced to play the match against Viktoria Plzen in the Conference League at 'Air Albania'.

"We have come to this situation because of the heavy load of this field, because "Fadil Vokrri" is the only stadium that is categorized by UEFA. Since we have not had another stadium of such standards, all the matches had to be played in this stadium, and without a break", says FFK.

"As a result of poor training but also the load of matches, it has been impossible for the field to return to optimal condition, although several times thanks to the dedication of the field maintenance staff, the grass has been restored and the field is ready for play" , concludes FFK.
