The National Institute of Public Health of Kosovo (IKSHPK) informs the population that the monitoring and follow-up of the water quality in the reservoir of Badoc, intended for drinking, is continuing and that there is no room for panic.

"The latest laboratory analyzes still show values ​​higher than the maximum allowed level of manganese in the lake water and in the distribution network, according to the standards set forth in Administrative Instruction no. 10/2021 - Water quality for human consumption", the communiqué states.

According to the announcement, the teams of IKSHPK are on the ground 24/7 and daily physico-chemical analyzes of the water produced in the Factory that is supplied by the Badoc reservoir lake are being carried out, and citizens will be notified in time for the normalization of the referent parameters of the water drinkable.

IKSHPK appeals to the citizens who are supplied by the water factory in Lake Badoc that:

Water can be used for cleaning, maintenance of hygiene and residential premises as well as for other needs;

Water in the regions supplied by the Batllava and Ujmani reservoirs can be used for drinking without definition.

Flushing of water tanks in houses and communal residential buildings in order to clean stratified Manganese (responsibility of households and housing councils)
