The official logo of the European Judo Championship held in Pristina is presented
For the first time in Kosovo, the European Judo Championship is coming on December 16, 2023, in the Palace of Youth and Sports, in Pristina, as the biggest sports event in the country.
Up to 50 participating countries with over 100 elite judokas will compete for the grand prize of €300,000 in total in all categories, reports KosovaPress.
Dederata of Judo today presented the official identity of this important event. The logo of the European Championship is inspired by the white and blue colors of Pristina, the city where the Championship will be held; illustration of the building of the Palace of Youth and Sports where the Championship will be held on December 16, 2023; and the illustration of the greeting - "Rei" - in judo as one of the main elements of judo that symbolizes respect and gratitude, thus to reflect the main value of our country - hospitality - and to witness the tradition of judo in Kosovo, the third country Olympic gold medals.
The Open European Judo Championship, "European Championships Open", is organized within the state program, "Kosovo, state of judo" by the Judo Federation of Kosovo, and is supported by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports and the European Judo Federation.
