A minute's silence was held for the fallen sergeant, Afrim Bunjaku, in the joint meeting with Prime Minister Albin Kurti, line ministers and mayors of municipalities.

Kurti said that this meeting brings him good news, that of the organization of the Mediterranean Games in 2030. According to him, the municipalities will have the opportunity to benefit from many investments.

"This format serves us to take care of citizens' well-being through discussion. It is the second year that the budget growth is high, and the budget of 2024 will be 90 million euros higher than the previous year. The grant of total for next year is 284.7 million euros", said Kurti.

The President of the Association of Municipalities of Kosovo, Agim Aliu has criticized the government for the communicative approach and also for the Law on Local Self-Government and Property Tax.

"We mayors are convinced that the communication approach must change. This is also the approach for the law on local self-government, for which AKK was excluded from consultation, thus infringing local autonomy", he said.
