Doctors at the Pulmonology Clinic saved the life of a patient after a dental crown had penetrated his airways.

AD from Gjakovë was urgently sent to KKUK after swallowing the crown during the dental intervention.

According to the announcement of the Clinical University Hospital Service of Kosovo, doctors intervened urgently through bronchoscopy.

"Patient AD (1986), from Gjakova, who during the dental intervention at the dentist, had aspirated a crown of teeth, penetrating into her respiratory tract, her health condition worsened, seriously endangering her health, with respiratory symptoms of difficulty and coughing. He was urgently brought to the Pulmonology Clinic, where the doctors of the clinic concluded that an emergency intervention should be done through bronchoscopy, removing the crown from the airways and saving his life", it is emphasized in the announcement of the SSKUK.
