Member of the British Parliament and head of foreign affairs, Alicia Kearns has stated that Kosovo, as a partner of Western countries, was asked to be democratic, to follow the path of EU membership and to go towards NATO membership, which they are doing. but now he is punished. Meanwhile, Serbia remains without any punishment.

Kearns has said that some parts are again in danger within the Balkans, as one sees the cynical ambitions of Milosevic's friends, the dreams of Greater Serbia and the hatred in the hearts of leaders within that region.

She added that what is currently happening in Kosovo is the result of Belgrade's external interference, 18 months ago, when it interfered in Kosovo's internal elections, after Belgrade told Kosovo Serbs not to participate in the elections. .

Kearns added that the UK Government has information that there are weapons being smuggled across the border from Serbia to Orthodox churches in Kosovo in ambulances.

"That is why the security situation is so serious. For a long time we have failed to highlight the armed Serbian militias operating in the north of Kosovo. The government is aware, from soldiers who have just returned from serving in KFOR, that there are weapons being smuggled across the border from Serbia to Orthodox churches in ambulances. When our troops become aware of this and try to get permission to go and get them, the permission takes a long time. By the time they get permission, the ambulance has already gone to the church and pulled out all the guns again. I will briefly touch on our export policies towards Serbia. I am very concerned about the fact that we are selling small munitions to Serbia. Given that the anti-terrorist police there have carried out attacks and kidnapped three Kosovar policemen, how do we know that nothing we have sold to Serbia is used in that context? I demand that a curb be put on all export sales to Serbia. I call on the Government to make it clear that the United Kingdom stands by Kosovo's territorial sovereignty and democracy. To do this, we need to expand KFOR's mandate to ensure a more proactive approach to combat arms smuggling and militias in northern Kosovo. We must ensure justice and take the necessary actions to operate a meaningful policy of preventive diplomacy," she said.

According to her, KFOR should take the initiative in anti-militia and anti-arms smuggling operations in the north of Kosovo.
