The National Institute of Public Health of Kosovo has marked World No Tobacco Day with the motto: "We need food, not tobacco".

The director of IKShPK, Naser Ramadani, said that smoking is a threat to public health in Kosovo, therefore the level of its consumption should be reduced.

This was promised by the Deputy Minister of Health, Dafina Gexha, who said that there is a decrease in tobacco consumption in Kosovo, but not enough.

She said that they will amend the Tobacco Law, where measures to prevent it will be toughened.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Agriculture, Faton Peci, expressed his willingness and readiness to continue the action to respect the law and prevent smoking indoors.
