Chairman of the Democratic League of Kosovo, Lumir Abdixhiku on the 33rd anniversary of the establishment of the LDK in Gjilan today, he declared that finally parting ways with Serbia is a national interest for Kosovo.

He said that this journey should be taken with courage.

"The indisputable, most important issue that we are all facing is the issue of dialogue. A process that, let's say, is a priority for Kosovo. So, finally parting ways with Serbia for Kosovoit is a national interest, it is a national interest, it is an international demand and we must take this journey with courage. Let us not be afraid, as we have never been afraid, neither in the Rambouillet process, nor in the Vienna process, nor in the dialogue process in Brussels, because these processes have always brought freedom, independence and democracy to Kosovo. They have brought the biggest project of the Albanians in Kosovo, of the people of Kosovo everywhere, the Republic of Kosovo. We have achieved a great result, because we are deprived of great people, we are deprived of great ideas, we are deprived of Rugovism, which at the core of political action is stubbornness for its own demands," he said.

Abdixhiku stated that in Rugovism and LDK, the idea was to convince America for the national interests of Kosovo. He said that they have shown their historical opponents who they stand with and are with. He said that we do not have this situation today.

The head of the LDK addressed criticism to Prime Minister Kurti regarding the issue of dialogue and relations with allies, in which case, he emphasized that historically Kosovo has also been discussed with allies.

"In the last two years, the government of Kosovo has decided to go on its own. On February 7, 2021, President Biden, after President Trump, sent a letter to the president of Serbia and in this letter of February 7, 2021, he tells him two clear messages... The first is to fulfill the mandatory process that you have with Kosovo, that is, to have a dialogue, with recognition at its center. This was the request of President Biden, as it was the request of President Trump, and I believe it has always been the request of all American presidents since the beginning of the Kosovo issue until today. For two years, the Prime Minister of Kosovo thought that he could... the issue of dialogue, that is, dialogue is the 7th, 8th, 14th priority, I have no business with dialogue because I have other priorities", he said Abdixhiku.

He also spoke about Kosovo's acceptance of the content of the European proposal for dialogue with Serbia, which he described as the biggest omission and mistake in the dialogue process.

Abdixhiku underlined that the agreement is normalizing when it is said that Kosovo is an independent state.

"This agreement says so, it begins with these words: so without prejudice to the views of the parties on the status. From a letter that says with recognition at the center of it, without prejudice to status. It is the first time in the history of Kosovo that a prime minister of the state of Kosovo agrees with the impartiality of the political status of the state of Kosovo. This is the damage, this is how we conclude.... How can the Prime Minister of Kosovo not agree with his own political status without prejudice, what normalizing agreement is this, an agreement is normalizing when it says: Kosovo is recognized by Serbia and Serbia is recognized by Kosovo, point or when it is said that Kosovo is an independent state," he said.

Abdixhiku he also said that the prime minister has never talked about overcoming the legacy over the past.

According to Abdixhikut, agreement on the content of the proposal on February 27 is dangerous.

"In article seven there are two very dangerous elements for the state of Kosovo, we tried in the Assembly to open their eyes, to tell them that they are serious elements that were rejected in Vienna, they are not the Association, ours is much more than that. According to the constitutional competences of Kosovo, the association is harmless, what's more, they have built a terrible monster, and now they have a hard time destroying it. In the 7th article it says two things, it says in one: there will be an organization with self-governing powers for the Serbian community, that is, the entire Serbian community, no longer the municipalities, but if you are a Serb, you have self-managing powers, you manage yourself. It is a higher level than the municipal body. It is the ethnic level of organization. And second, believe it or not, the political status of the Serbian Orthodox Church. What political status within the state of Kosovo? Have you followed the events in Montenegro, have you followed how a prime minister was dismissed by the Montenegrin majority there because he gave exactly the same political status to the Serbian Orthodox Church. This man has accepted this in this agreement today. And this is the damage and danger of Kosovo. It is a harm to the future generations... For all those who believe and think that the LDK will have other positions, I am telling you now that this will be the final position of the LDK, and if it comes to the Assembly it will let's vote against it. We never accept such an agreement as the Democratic League of Kosovo", he added.

The chairman of the LDK, on ​​behalf of the membership of the LDK, congratulated the 33rd anniversary of the establishment of the branch of the LDK in Gjilan, in which case, he emphasized that it has become a pillar of Rugovism in Anamorava and all over Kosovo.

Meanwhile, the head of the LDK branch in Gjilan, Lutfi Haziri, addressed criticism of the Kurti government and underlined that in the third year of the government, the great despair is affecting more and more every day. According to him, Prime Minister Kurti brought an agreement, which installs the status-quo.

"And this party is really different from us, because it is the only party that has touched the margin of every Albanian, it has touched the table of every Albanian, it has not achieved prosperity, it has achieved impoverishment and poverty is also tangible in every days of our lives... What did this government bring us and this prime minister who promised a lot?....Brought an agreement, which installs the status-quo, in relation to them, does not choose the problem of neighboring with them and seriously complicates and attacks the status political and our territory and our future as a republic...", he said, adding that he did not wait longer, but said that he never believed that they would manage to "install it boldly, which is a good deal".

Meanwhile, MP Hykmete Bajrami criticized the Kurti government for increasing prices, as she said "every product that we consume on a daily basis has increased by 50 percent". She emphasized that the government has made a promise to increase the salaries of the citizens, but said that they have increased it for themselves.

Meanwhile, MP Doarsa Kiça-Xhelili stated that it is not a question that LDK is not in opposition, but said that the point is that on the other side there are no people who understand the criticism and suggestion. She said that the Government has reduced the salaries of justices at a time when, as she emphasized, "they said they would do the vetting".

All these statements were made today in honor of the 33rd anniversary of the establishment of the LDK in Gjilan, where the LDK branch organized a meeting with the structures and citizens.
