The well-known analyst Janusz Bugajski has reacted after reports that Serbia has been supplied with Chinese missiles.

He wrote in a post on Twitter that the president of Serbia, Aleksandar Vuçiq, has been instructed by his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin to destabilize the Balkans.

"Vuçiq has been instructed by his patron Putin to destabilize the Balkans. The fast path to NATO membership for Bosnia-Herzegovina and Kosovo is essential to prevent war," wrote Bugajski.

Serbia received a sophisticated Chinese anti-aircraft system in a covert operation this weekend.

Six Chinese Air Force Y-20 transport planes landed at Belgrade's civilian airport on Saturday, said to be carrying HQ-22 surface-to-air missile systems for the Serbian military.

The Cabinet of the Presidency of Vjosa Osmani and the former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kosovo, Enver Hoxhaj, have reacted by saying that it is unacceptable to buy Serbia's weapons from China.
