Hundreds of citizens have chosen the capital's square to celebrate the New Year, but they were not allowed by Kosovo Police officials, due to the protection of citizens from Covid-19.
Meanwhile, the citizens during 2022 are waiting for a better year, hoping for the removal of the COVID-19 pandemic."From 2022, we expect the best to come, for this Corona to leave us, to be happier, freer, bigger jobs. The year 2021, what about me, pandemic, isolated, we expect better with being... It's not good, but they have the order from the leadership, we are watching and protect us for our own good". he says.
Even the other citizen from Mitrovica who lives in Germany, Arsim Musliu, has come to Kosovo for the end of the year holidays, he says that the city where he lives and works is isolated due to the pandemic.
Ejup Salihu expresses happiness for the Albanian people, but the latter has a request for the citizens to support the government of Prime Minister Albin Kurti more, because according to him, it is the first government that has given them hope.
"First of all, health, well-being for all humanity and the Albanian people in all lands, I wish them only good things, achievements and successes, and in the political scene, I wished them to refrain from matters of political gain, and I wish the Albanian people in Kosovo to support the Kurti government because it is the first government that so far has given us hope and we must give it time so that the problems and failures that have followed us for 20 years give it time, have patience and trust that a man like Albin Kurti, the very honorable president Vjosa Osmani, and then also the president of the assembly, it is a trio that I can say that Kosovo has not seen for sure in years. I think this is a good step and shot because the large crowds can be a danger for the people but I think they act to protect the people because you should know we have had cases of injuries but there are also people who don't want us to good and can be infiltrated and I think that the only goal is and I don't think that it is a bad action", Salihu told KosovaPress.
