Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim said he had big problems but would not change course from his tactical plan, despite his team's 10th home defeat of the season to Brighton on Sunday.
Brighton secured a 3-1 victory and United have now taken 11 points from a possible 33 since Amorim took over as manager from Sporting in November, while they had not lost 10 of their opening 22 league games since the 1989-90 season.
"Imagine what this is like for a Manchester United fan. Imagine what it is like for me," Amorim told Sky Sports. "We are getting a new manager who is losing more than the last manager (Erik ten Hag). I have full knowledge of that. But I will not change, no matter what happens. We are the worst team, probably, in the history of Manchester United. I know you want titles, but I am saying this because we have to accept this and change it. Here are your titles," he stressed, according to KosovaPress.
Amorim suggested there will be more pain on the road for the team before the end of the season, as they prepare to host Rangers in the Europa League on Thursday before a trip to Fulham for their next Premier League match on Sunday.
