The National Institute of Public Health of Kosovo estimates that polluted air in our country constitutes one of the major risks to public health, directly affecting the health of individuals and collective health.

According to the National Institute of Public Health, the consequences of polluted air begin in the embryo and can continue throughout life.

The National Institute of Public Health announced that young children are most affected by polluted air.

"What is air pollution? The presence of harmful substances in the air that negatively affect health and the environment," reports the National Institute of Public Health.

Furthermore, according to this institute, in 2019 air pollution worldwide caused 6.7 million deaths, 85 percent of which were from non-communicable diseases.
