Regional news agencies, including the News Agency -KosovaPress-, have selected the best athletes for 2024. Of the Kosovo athletes, the best ranking was received by judoka Distria Krasniqi, who is positioned in 11th place.

Long jumper Miltiadis Tentoglou won the 51st edition of the BTA Balkan Athlete of the Year 2024 poll on Friday. The ceremony took place at the BTA National Press Club in Sofia.

Swimmer David Popovici (Romania) and basketball player Nikola Jokic (Serbia) completed the top three, while Bulgarian weightlifter Karlos Nasar and Serbian tennis star Novak Djokovic shared fourth place.
