The Regional Academy for the Development of Democracy (ADD) today accused Serbia of interfering in local elections in Montenegro, Podgorica and Kotor, saying that activists of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) were seen there in jeeps, as well as buses with voters. double voting right from Serbia.

"It is about the migration of fake voters with double voting rights from Serbia. In addition to illegal voters from Serbia, SNS activists of Vuçiq voters in Podgorica and Kotor were pressured before and during election day. This act represents a direct intervention in the electoral process in Montenegro and a continuation of its aggressive policy Vuçiq towards the neighbors", says the reaction.

They added that the same "irregularities and criminal methods have already become common practice" in elections in Serbia.

ADD announced that on today's election day, 14 more citizens entered Montenegro from Serbia than on the same day last year and assessed that this was a violation of Montenegro's sovereignty and a serious risk to regional stability.

"The said electoral irregularities committed by the regime of Aleksandar Vuçiq seriously risk disrupting the civil peace in Montenegro", says the statement, in which the president of Serbia is referred to as the former Minister of Propaganda at the time of the butcher of the Balkans, Slobodan Milosevic.

ADD calls on the international community and democratic governments in the European Union to closely monitor the volatile situation in Montenegro and react to serious violations of peace, security and democratic principles.
