The former CEO of the Kosovo Landfill Management Company (KMDK), the former director, the former manager and five other officials who have worked at this company to date and have been suspended from work, are being accused of signing a contract in 2021 for the maintenance and repair of landfills, worth over 958 thousand euros, a contract which exceeded the legal limit of 30 percent.

"The contract in question was initiated and implemented by the previous management, before I took up this position. The audit has revealed serious irregularities in a contract for the maintenance and repair of landfills, including large overruns of contracted costs, amounting to almost 958,189 euros," Velija said, according to the report.
