Chairman of the Democratic League of Kosovo, Lumir Abdixhiku has stated that they have not had any meetings with any political party in Kosovo, especially with the Vetevendosje Movement, with which they do not have, do not want, and are not working towards a cooperation with them.
Abdixhiku He made these comments after the LDK leadership meeting, which lasted more than five hours, or as he said, the longest in the history of this party's meetings.
"We have not had any meetings with any party in Kosovo, especially we have not had any meetings with the ruling party. LDK has a clear policy towards LVV, we do not want, do not have and are not working for a cooperation with them, so this is a clear position of LDK before the election and the election. LDK will not be part of any government without the position of prime minister, this continues to be our position now and we have also said that LDK does not intend and will not work for a short-term government, so without resolving the basic issue of the president that also determines the next national elections in Kosovo, LDK does not believe that there will be government stability and is not interested in short-term governments at all, we will not repeat the previous mistakes of entering the government in the short term", he said.
After being asked about the reactions of this party's parliamentary candidates regarding the issue of diaspora votes, Abdixhiku said that any candidate can address their remarks to the relevant institutions.
"We have also discussed that every candidate should address the remarks to the relevant institutions, for everything, whether for procedural issues of the CEC, or for investigation issues, we support every investigation by the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo. Preserving the vote, preserving the internal vote, preserving the inter-party vote is the most sacred thing... we cannot claim the collapse of the electoral process just because the LDK has increased, we cannot claim the devaluation of the vote for an expatriate candidate, just because the ruling party did not receive 51 mandates as it claimed," he added. This was the first meeting of the LDK leadership since the February 9 elections, where the LDK received a total of 171 votes, although this number may change due to the recount of 249 polling stations, the process of which began today, and the recount of 15 invalid ballots sent by voters outside Kosovo to the CEC mailboxes, which will be recounted after the decision of the Electoral Complaints Panel.
