The state of education in Kosovo is alarming and is not a priority for the current government, and as a result of this ignorance, the number of students and educational staff is decreasing and risks closing schools.
This was said in a discussion organized today by AAK in cooperation with the "Europe 2023" Intellectual Forum, where the common challenges and opportunities for solving the problems of education in the country were presented.
The president of AAK, Ramush Haradinaj, expressed concern about the situation in education, blaming the government at the central level led by the Vetëvendosje Movement for this. He said that in recent years, honor has also been lost in education and that a proper plan must be created for this.
The chairman of the "Europe 2030" Intellectual Forum, Artan Nimani, said that the government should improve the difficult situation in the education system, taking into account the abandonment of learning by students and the flight of teachers to the European Union.
Meanwhile, professor Ramë Vataj emphasized that the salary law has harmed professors the most. He said that before the war the conditions for professors were the same as for ministers, while today their salary has been reduced by 250 euros less.
Even the head of the Parliamentary Group of AAK, Besnik Tahiri, said that the topic of the state of education is being addressed by this party for the second time and that there is no logic for the government's ignorance of the education sector in the country. .Drenica
