The Russian Defense Ministry previously announced that Russia and Ukraine had exchanged 175 prisoners of war each.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has confirmed the swap, calling it "one of the largest" ever held, according to Sky News.
He added that in addition to the 175 detainees released by Russia, 22 other "seriously wounded" soldiers were also released.
"All of them will immediately receive the necessary medical and psychological assistance," Zelensky said, according to the report. KosovaPress.
Meanwhile, Ukraine's state railway company announced that Russia had attacked its facilities for the second time today."Four railway workers were injured, two of them in serious condition," Ukrzaliznytsya said, adding that the attack took place in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
"The attack was carried out earlier with a ballistic missile. Railway workers have made every effort to ensure that enemy attacks do not affect the movement of passenger trains," they added.
Ukrzaliznytsya earlier said the railway power system in eastern Dnipropetrovsk was hit at 1:20 a.m. local time, just hours after Russian President Vladimir Putin agreed to a 30-day moratorium on attacks on energy and infrastructure in his call with U.S. President Donald Trump.
