The Italian team Atalanta has announced that it has purchased from Galatasaray on a temporary basis until June 30, 2025, with the right of option and the obligation to purchase Nicolò Zaniolo.

Zaniolo spent last season on loan at Aston Villa, but scored just one goal in 39 appearances for the Birmingham-based club, KosovaPress reports.

Zaniolo has 13 goals and 10 assists in 94 Serie A appearances with Roma. He also played for Inter and Fiorentina, but did not make his senior debut for either club.

The 25-year-old was expected to be part of Luciano Spalletti's Italy squad at EURO 2024, but an ankle injury forced him out just weeks before the tournament began.
