The only thing missing is official confirmation, but the body found this afternoon in the waters of Adda, in the municipality of Zelo Buon Persico, appears to belong to babysitter Jhoanna Nataly Quintanilla.

This is the 40-year-old babysitter from El Salvador killed in late January in Milan, reports HANDLE.

An autopsy at the Pavia Forensic Institute and, perhaps, a DNA test will be necessary to have absolute certainty, but there is little doubt that it is her. Although being in the water for more than a month has made the face unrecognizable, the body is completely similar to that of the victim and some special marks could help acquaintances to identify her.

The black bag that wrapped the body appears identical to the one that Pablo Gonzalez Rivas, on the night of January 24 and 25, had loaded into the car, captured by surveillance cameras in the investigation by the Milan Carabinieri.

Her compatriot, arrested on February 7 for the murder of the nanny who disappeared that January night, will also have to answer for this, reports KosovaPress.

He had only reported his wife missing a week later, when he already had a report: that of his employer who had never seen her arrive.

It was some passers-by who raised the alarm, prompting firefighter divers to intervene and extract the body and the bag. The army had analyzed Gonzales' conversations and collected evidence from which it emerged that the man had a parallel relationship with a woman living in El Salvador, for whom he had already organized the trip to Milan so that she could live with him. Joanna had to leave her partner and for this reason, probably, an argument had started that evening that resulted in the femicide committed with bare hands or with a knife, reconstructed by the Carabinieri of the Milan Investigation Unit, who had never believed the man's version after the arrest.

Gonzales Rivas had spoken of an erotic game gone wrong, saying he had dumped the body in the late afternoon of January 25 in a ditch near Cassano d'Adda, without ever wanting to reveal the exact location.

Gonzalez had filed a missing person's report just a week after his wife's disappearance, which he had attempted to pass off as a voluntary departure. During questioning before the investigating judge after his arrest, he said he had broken her neck during an erotic game.

However, it is possible that the man took the body somewhere else around 9 am the day after the crime, trying to divert the search. The search had been focused for days on the Adda River area and several canals. It is learned that the current dragged the body to Zelo Buon Persico where, in addition to the police and the carabinieri, the prosecutors of Lodi and Milan intervened.
