As soon as Ruben Amorim became Manchester United's new manager at the beginning of the month, it was clear that in the January transfer window he will try to adapt the staff to his vision of the game as much as possible, meaning that some players will leave, especially those whose contracts expire in the summer.
One of them is Christian Eriksen, reports journalist Florian Plettenberg, who claims United will not offer the 32-year-old Dane a new contract, meaning they will try to sell him in January so the club get at least some kind of compensation.
Amorim wants new players in all midfield positions - defensive, central and attacking - and has already set his sights on Juventus' Brazilian Douglas Luiz.
Eriksen arrived at United in the summer of 2022, a year after suffering a heart attack in a European match, and meanwhile spent half the season at Brentford, where he returned to football. After that, he has not shown any signs of health problems and is expected to easily find a new club.
