Former President Hashim Thaçi's father is buried today
Haxhi Thaçi, the father of former Kosovo President Hashim Thaçi, will be buried today.
Haxhi Thaçi will be laid to rest in the new cemetery of the village of Burojë, Skenderaj, while this municipality has announced the agenda for today.
According to the announcement, from 09:00-12:00, homage will be paid next to the coffin at the "Ilaz Kodra" gym in Skenderaj, reports KosovaPress.
A commemorative meeting will be held at 12:00.
At 15:00 PM, the funeral ceremony for the deceased will be held.
Otherwise, the Special Court has rejected the request of former Kosovo President Hashim Thaçi to participate in his father's funeral ceremony.
There have been numerous reactions regarding this rejection.
The Kosovo Liberation Army War Veterans Organization, through a post on the social network Facebook, has expressed indignation and revolt against this decision.
PDK leader Memli Krasniqi has also called the rejection of Thaçi's request unacceptable.
While Justice Minister Albulena Haxhiu added that she will seek clarification from the Special Committee regarding this decision.
