The students who were involved in an accident on Thursday in the village of Galicë, Vushtrri, have all been released home after medical examinations, writes KosovaPress.
The driver of the minibus with the initials HS, 59 years old, died in this accident.
Seven students who were being transported to school by minibus were injured due to this accident.
The Director of Education in the Municipality of Vushtrri, Albanez Tahiraj, spoke about their situation. He said that the students' condition is stable.
Tahiri told KosovaPress that yesterday the students underwent routine checks at the Emergency Room and were then released to their families.
"The condition is very good, it is stable. There is nothing worrying. As far as I know, they have undergone a more detailed check-up and as a result, they are all in their family facilities. They have been released very early. Yesterday I was with them almost the entire time in the hospital emergency room, until they were all released. There was a recommendation for a routine check-up in Pristina for one of the students, and she has also been released home," said Tahiraj., write KosovaPress.
According to the police, a serious accident occurred on Thursday morning in the municipality of Vushtrri, where the driver of a bus died and several people were injured.
Police said the accident occurred around 08:00 on a local road in the village of Galicë, Vushtrri.
"A car was involved in the accident, and as a result of the injuries sustained at around 11:00, the SHSKUK reported that the driver of the vehicle, the victim HS, 59 years old, lost his life, while the seven passengers in the vehicle also suffered injuries," the Kosovo Police announced.
According to the Police, from the initial investigations conducted at the scene, it is known that the cause of the accident is suspected to have been "carelessness and failure to adapt the speed to the road conditions, which resulted in the vehicle ending up off the road."
The Mayor of Vushtrri, Ferit Idrizi, said that the accident occurred during the transportation of students from the village of Duboc.
