The protest in Belgrade has ended. The protest attracted a large crowd. According to police claims, the protesters were 107,000. However, many believe that the number of protesters was several times higher.

Although there was talk of possible riots, the protest passed without major incidents. Only towards the end were there some clashes, but then the students who organized the protest announced that it was over.

A strange situation occurred at the end of the protest. It was during the 15 minutes of silence for the 15 victims of the tragedy in Novi Sad three months ago that the protests began.

Tens of thousands of people stood in silence for 15 minutes. But then a loud noise was heard. At that moment, the street filled with protesters suddenly emptied.

"From the direction of Beograxhanka, the crowd quickly started to split into two parts. I couldn't see if it was a car or some kind of fight and the sudden reaction of the people. In about ten seconds, people gathered on one side of the street or the other. There was great fear, most people couldn't even understand what was happening," reports N1.

It is possible that people in the crowd thought someone was driving a car towards them.

"A group of people headed in that direction, towards the city center, some out of curiosity, and some to protect those at risk. Anger reigned, but now it seems to have calmed down a bit," reports N1, following KosovaPress.
