The Office of the Specialized Prosecutor in The Hague, in the absence of evidence, is continuing with the arrests of former members of the KLA, the leader of the Organization of War Veterans, Faton Klinaku, tells KosovaPress.

On Thursday morning, EULEX made several arrests in Kosovo, which the Specialized Prosecutor's Office of The Hague said were related to crimes against the administration of justice.

Klinak rejects these saying that former members of KLA do not obstruct justice.

He does not rule out the possibility that there will be more arrests.

Klinaku says that the arrests of former KLA members are taking place in order to "continue the mandate of this court".

"As long as they are continuing with this spectacle, everything can be expected from them, of course every member of the Kosovo Liberation Army is at risk from this SPS", he said.

The special police arrested the former mayor of Malisheva, Isni Kilaj, on Thursday. The former member of the KLA, Fadil Faziu, was also arrested. Meanwhile, it was also reported about the arrest of Bashkim Smakaj.

It was also reported that the house of the former Minister of Justice, Hajredin Kuçi, was raided.

Later on Thursday, the Office of the Specialized Prosecutor has confirmed that it is conducting operations today in Kosovo.

According to the ZPS, the investigative process focuses on offenses against the administration of justice.

Through a notice issued on the official website, the SPS said that the operations were authorized by the judicial side of the Specialized Chambers and were supported by EULEX./B.Ibishi
