The Minister of Defense, Pirro Vengu, announced today that all civil emergency structures continue to be engaged in the field since yesterday afternoon, to repair all the problems caused by the high-intensity rains.

As a result of the work done throughout the night and the cessation of rain, the situation has improved.

Currently, the work of all structures: the municipality of Vlora, UK Vlora Region, Local Police Directorate, OSHEE, Prefecture, is focused on 4 intersections still blocked in the city of Vlora, which was most affected by the bad weather situation in the last 24 hours.

In support of them, Minister Vengu announced that there are also 24 members of the Armed Forces, with 5 transport vehicles, 3 high mobility vehicles and 2 suction pumps.

"The troops on the ground are working to remove the water in the blocks of flats between the blocked roads: at the University, "Albano e Romina" street, the new shops, as well as at the Orthodox Church. There is also water inside the city's mosque," he said.

FA operatives are working with two pumps to remove water from the main pumping station, where there is still water.

According to him, the city's reservoir works at full capacity, making the gradual withdrawal of water. Electricity has been cut off in several blocks of flats in the city, mainly where there is water in the electrical cabins.
