The Basic Prosecution Office in Pristina has announced that it has not authorized the conduct of a search or raid in several locations due to suspicions that parallel structures exist.
"The State Prosecutor clarifies to the public that he has not authorized the conduct of the control or search in these locations, because there was no official written request for this action by the relevant institutions, for which no evidence was provided to the State Prosecutor to create a well-founded suspicion that a criminal offense that falls under the jurisdiction of the Basic Prosecution Office in Pristina is being committed," the announcement states.
The prosecutor's announcement states that the state prosecutor, taking into account the fact that in this case the necessary procedures decisively defined in the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Kosovo were not followed, was unable to issue any authorization in this specific case.
"The State Prosecutor is ready and committed to prosecuting criminal offenses and their perpetrators, always based on the legislation in force, as well as based on the principle of equality and non-discrimination of all citizens of the Republic of Kosovo," the announcement states.
