Real Madrid have been embroiled in controversy in recent weeks, given their response to refereeing decisions they believe have gone against them. They sent a statement to the Spanish Football Federation earlier this month, and since then, there have been other complaints.

La Liga president Javier Tebas spoke about this issue during an interview with "The Objective".

"We have had a lot of arbitrary controversy in recent weeks. From Real Madrid TV, Real Madrid set the controversy and wrote a false story and questioned all of football. It is a verbally aggressive and manipulated story. I know many Madridistas who disagree with Real Madrid, who are a club that cries - they are crying all day. They cry about the weekend, they will cry about the following weekend and it is all the fault of a conspiracy," Tebas said, according to KosvaPress.

"Florentino called the president of the Federation, Rubiales, and since then it has been used excessively. We want to change the refereeing system. If you do a survey with other clubs, they will say that Real Madrid and Barcelona have benefited the most, but they don't have television to say it. RMTV is the only media that has this story," he added.

Tebas continued his criticism of Real Madrid president Florentino Perez, with whom he has clashed regularly over the years.

"Florentino's football deceives people. He represents oligarchic football, he only represents football for the rich. He wants to decide everything with the money that is distributed. A part of Real Madrid is making the mistake of honoring everything Florentino does, saying that everything is fine. Real Madrid must have an independent opinion. I am happy when Real Madrid wins. I was very happy when Real Madrid won the Champions League. I am a Madridista, not a Florentinista," Tebas said in the end.
