The Government of Kosovo has responded to the criticism of the opposition regarding the end of the governing mandate. In the executive they say that the year 2024 has been extremely successful and the result of a long work during the preceding years of the four-year mandate.

The spokesperson of the government of Kosovo, in a response to KosovaPress, lists the successes that, according to him, have occurred under the Kurti government.

He mentions economic development, doubling and tripling of child benefits, raising the minimum wage, raising wages in the public sector.

Also, he emphasizes that important investments have been made in health, transforming many of the clinics of ShSKUK.

"This year we doubled and tripled child allowances, increased pensions by 20%, the minimum wage was raised to 350 euros after more than a decade of stagnation, and we also made a decision to raise wages in the public sector starting from January 1 of this year comes We marked important successes in the process of the country's membership in the Council of Europe, successfully passing the phase of ambassadors of the Council of Europe, the Committee for Political Affairs and then the Parliamentary Assembly", he said.

In addition, Kryeziu emphasized the success of the strengthening of the army with new equipment and weapons.

"The army has been strengthened even more with new equipment and weapons, for the second year in a row we are spending 2% of the Gross Domestic Product on defense according to NATO criteria, and in December we signed a contract with the Turkish state manufacturers MKE for the operationalization of munitions factory in Kosovo, thus laying the foundations of our defense industry. There have been many other employment support measures for citizens with the aim of increasing well-being, including the reform of social assistance by removing discriminatory criteria and encouraging the employment of members of beneficiary families. We have continued with the dual education programs, since compared to the first year of piloting, this year there are 12 more profiles, 25 more schools and it is implemented in 12 more municipalities, with more than 1600 beneficiary students more than last year of 2021", Kryeziu added.

Opposition parties and political analysts have criticized Prime Minister Albin Kurti that under his mandate, Kosovo has stagnated at all levels, since there was no development project in the economy, health and education.
