The Government of Kosovo started the procedures for the construction of Ferizaj Hospital worth 27.9 million euros. In the meeting held on Wednesday, the green light was also given to the concept document for the development of the regulatory framework of Kosovo's financial markets and two international agreements worth 70 million euros.
The Minister of Health, Arben Vitia, said that with the construction of the Ferizaj Hospital, the infrastructural capacities and pre-clinical services will increase in this municipality as well as the surrounding ones.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Finance, Hekuran Murati, said that with the approval of the concept document for the development of the regulatory framework of the financial markets, the economy of Kosovo will develop even further.
He also presented two international agreements between the ministry he leads, KfW, Frankfurt Am Main and the regional company Pastrimi for the project "Urban Development Suitable for Climate II.
Murati said that one agreement is a grant and the other is a soft loan worth 70 million euros.However, he raised the concern that this project may fail because the Municipality of Pristina has announced tenders for the contracting of the same services offered by Pastrimi.
According to him, the capital should reconsider this decision and support the regional company Pastrimi for capacity building.
In addition to these, the executive also approved the Draft Law for the central health inspectorate as well as the Draft Law for the production, cultivation, collection, processing, trading, control of tobacco, tobacco products and related products.
Also appointed was Luan Sylaj, executive director at the Agency for Agricultural Development in the Ministry of Agriculture.
