The Government of Kosovo has allocated budget funds to cover the lack of funds in the category of salaries and allowances for the municipalities of Kamenica and Viti.

In an electronic meeting, the executive has approved the allocation of budget funds to cover the lack of funds in the category of salaries and allowances for the municipalities of Kamenica and Viti, for the month of October 2024.

"The Government of the Republic of Kosovo has held an electronic meeting in which it has approved the allocation of budget funds to cover the lack of funds in the Salaries and Allowances expenditure category for the municipalities of Kamenica and Viti, for the month of October 2024," the communiqué states.

A month ago, the teachers of the municipality of Viti before the Government of Kosovo, due to the non-payment of salaries for the month of September, while the Ministry of Finance blamed the municipality of Viti for not providing the necessary budget in time.

It is learned that Vitia and Kamencia have had problems with salary payments in the primary and secondary education programs in recent months, as a result of enforcement cases.
