The Basic Prosecutor's Office in Ferizaj, has requested from the Basic Court in Ferizaj, the appointment of the measure of detention for a period of 30 days against the FI suspect, for the case of the attack of four people with a knife in the city of Ferizaj.

According to the Prosecutor's Office, there is a suspicion based on the fact that on November 11, 2024, at around 15:30 p.m., on "Rifat Berisha" street in Ferizaj, intentionally, due to ethnic affiliation, he attempted to take the lives of two minors - members of to the RAE community, in such a way that while the injured were walking on the road, the defendant who was also walking in the opposite direction, as he passes the victim turns back and with quick steps comes from behind and hits her several times in the shoulder area with a kitchen knife labeled "Berlinger House" with a length of 32 cm and a blade length of 19 cm, causing serious bodily injuries.

Also, according to the Prosecutor's Office, the defendant FI, on the same date at around 15:05 on "Enver Topalli" street in Ferizaj, intentionally because of his ethnicity, attempted to take the life of the injured NM, member of the RAE community. , in such a way that while the victim was entering the cafeteria "Verona", the defendant attacked him with the same knife, hitting him in the head and throat and on the right cheek, causing serious bodily injuries.

"While, on the same date at around 15:53 p.m., on "Halim Spahiu" street in Ferizaj, intentionally due to ethnic affiliation, he tried to take the life of the injured EA, - member of the RAE community, in such a way that while the victim was walking, the defendant attacked him with the same knife, hitting him from behind in the shoulder area, causing him serious bodily injuries, with this he would commit the ongoing criminal offense "Attempted aggravated murder" from article 173 paragraph 1 subsection 1.10 related to article 28 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo (KPRK)", the announcement states.

A 10-year-old and a 29-year-old are continuing treatment at the University Clinical Center of Kosovo, after the knife attack yesterday in Ferizaj. Their condition is stable, but not out of danger because the injuries are serious, according to this institution.

On Monday, the Police in Ferizaj announced that a man with the initials ES, 59 years old, attacked four people with a knife, two of them minors.
