The Walnut and Lajthis Cultivators Association has reacted against the unnecessary postponement of contracts for the establishment of new plantations. In their response, it is said that "in this good time without rain, that is, ideal time for preparing the land, farmers are unable to prepare their plots due to not signing the contracts with the Ministry of Agriculture.

"We, as an association, appeal to Minister Faton Peci to immediately start signing the contracts or to cancel them completely since it is impossible to prepare the land due to the short time for spring planting", says the reaction of the Association of Walnut and Hazelnut growers.

Furthermore, it is also said that this criticism of the minister has been going on for years, because according to them, the signing of the contracts is being delayed for no reason, and the farmers, due to the limited time, are unable to successfully complete the deadlines for the establishment or preparation of plantations.
