Shortly before the end of the mandate of the Kurti government, the members of the Assembly of Kosovo will hold a parliamentary debate. On December 2, they will discuss the four-year work of the executive.

This session, by the opposition, was considered necessary for the exposure, as they said, of "the failure of Prime Minister Albin Kurti and his subordinates".

Meanwhile, from the ruling party, Lévizja Vetëvendosje, they emphasized that in this session the "successes of the executive" will be presented, already in a full mandate.

The head of the parliamentary group of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), Arben Gashi, said that the session of December 2 is the most important in closing the eighth legislature of the Assembly.

According to him, all the "damaging actions that the Kurti government has done during its four-year mandate" will be discussed there.

The holding of this session is at the request of the AAK, which has been deposited in the Parliament since March of this year when the Kurti government has been in power for three years, but the same has been postponed at the request of this party.

The head of AAK deputies, Besnik Tahiri, considered it necessary, as he said, to reveal a "failed government that has damaged the country both internally and externally".

In addition, he continued to call the Law on the 2025 budget illegal, but said that they will not send it to the Constitutional Court for review.

The head of the LVV Parliamentary Group, Mimoza Kusari-Lila, responded to the two opponents, who said that this request of the opposition is outdated, however, according to her, Prime Minister Kurti and the majority in the Assembly are ready to "confront their work in four years of government".

In addition, after the meeting of the Presidency of the Assembly, she said that this institution will hold two more plenary sessions on December 5, where it is intended to approve the draft laws that are under consideration.

Among other things, the draft law for the state bureau for the verification and confiscation of unjustifiable assets is expected to be reviewed in the session of December 5.
