The defense of the accused Nexhat Vllas continued today at the Basic Court of Pristina.aliu, who, together with his brother, Jeton, are accused of murdering businessman Bedri Rexhepi in 2021, due to embezzlement.

Today's court session continued with questions from the defense attorney for the injured party, Besnik Berisha, against the defendant, Nexhat Vllas.aliu, reports KosovaPress.

The injured party's lawyer, Besnik Berisha, continued to confront the accused Nexhat Vllas.aliu with the statement given to the Prosecution, where according to Berisha the accused stated that they went to the village of Vllasali together with Jeton and he to his house, asking him to state which version is the true one.

Berisha then asked Vllasaliun about the statements given during the investigation, which he changed at trial.

Presiding judge Medie Bytyqi said that the next hearing will be held on April 3, starting at 13:15 p.m. The previous hearing on this case was interrupted due to the poor health of the presiding judge, Medie Bytyqi.  

In October 2022, the Basic Prosecution Office of Pristina filed an indictment against Jeton and Nexhat Vllas.aliu for the murder of businessman Bedri Rexhepi.
