Shortly before the start of the first Kosovo-Turkey Economic Forum, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, was welcomed by the Turkish Minister of Trade, Omer Bolat, where bilateral economic and trade relations were discussed and possible opportunities and steps forward for their further deepening and the increase of bilateral investments.

According to the Government, the Economic Forum that is being held today in Istanbul and the signing of the Joint Declaration on the Establishment of the Joint Economic and Trade Commission (JETCO), tomorrow in Ankara between Minister Bolat and the Minister of Industry, Trade and Entrepreneurship, Rozeta Hajdari, are some of concrete steps in this direction.

Prime Minister Kurti who was accompanied by the Deputy Prime Minister Emilja Rexhepi, the Ambassador of Kosovo to Turkey, Agon Vrenezi, the Chief of Staff, Luan Dalipi, and the Deputy Minister of Industry, Trade and Entrepreneurship, Mentor Arifaj, thanked Minister Bolat and the Turkish state for the hospitality throughout the visit his and the continuous support to Kosovo that has described different stages, from liberation to the declaration of independence and the increase of the international subjectivity of the Republic of Kosovo.

The first Economic Forum between Kosovo and Turkey is being held in Istanbul today. Besides Prime Minister Kurti, other representatives from the government cabinet are also participating, among them, the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development, Faton Peci, the Minister of Regional Development, Fikrim Damka, the Deputy Minister of Environment, Spatial Planning and Infrastructure, Hysen Durmishi, Deputy Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Daulina Osmani and Deputy Minister of Economy, Getoar Mjeku.
