Milan Radoicic and all the perpetrators of the terrorist attack in Banjska must be brought to justice, says the ambassador of France in Kosovo, Olvier Guerot. He declares that KFOR and EULEX are working to guarantee peace in the north, but adds that security in that part is still fragile. The French diplomat, in an interview for KosovaPress, says that Kosovo's institutions must refrain from unilateral and uncoordinated actions in the north, so that the situation does not worsen.
Guerot for KosovaPress, also talks about the opening of the Ibri bridge and the European Union Growth Plan for the countries of the Western Balkans.
Speaking about last year's terrorist attack in Banjska in Zveçan, he says that the president of France, Emmanuel Macron, was very clear that those responsible for this attack must be brought to justice and that we expect actions from Serbia.
"President Macron has repeatedly emphasized the need for not only Milan Radojicic, but all perpetrators, potential perpetrators, or suspected perpetrators to be brought to justice. We adhere to this as a very clear message that was given at the highest level and we certainly expect Serbia to follow this. I think that nobody is interested in the situation in the north getting worse," he says.
According to him, the security situation in the north is fragile, but he adds that KFOR and EULEX are working to guarantee peace and security in that part.
However, he emphasizes that the unilateral and uncoordinated actions of Kosovo's institutions are not useful, alluding to the closure of Serbian parallel structures and the ban on the circulation of the dinar.
Regarding the opening of the Ibri bridge, he says that such a thing should be discussed in the Brussels dialogue.
He appreciates the government's coordination on this topic as positive.
Speaking about the European Union's Growth Plan for the countries of the Western Balkans, he says that the benefits of Kosovo will be great.
