The teachers of the Municipality of Viti will protest tomorrow in front of the Government of Kosovo, due to the non-payment of salaries for the month of September, while the Ministry of Finance has blamed the municipality of Viti for not providing the necessary budget in time.

The non-execution of salaries by the Ministry of Finance has created concern among education workers of the municipality of Vitia, who have decided to express their dissatisfaction in a protest starting at 11:00, according to the announcement of the SBASHK.

Two days ago, the Ministry of Finance blamed the Municipality of Vitia for not providing the necessary budget, saying that the salaries were executed only for a part of the municipality's employees.

However, the mayor of Vitia, Sokol Haliti, during a meeting today with the directors of the schools of this municipality, addressed criticism to the Ministry of Finance, demanding that urgent measures be taken to resolve this issue and to ensure that salaries are distributed as soon as possible. .

He emphasized that the situation is unacceptable and has negatively affected the well-being of teachers and the normal functioning of the educational process.

According to the Ministry of Finance, as a result of enforcement cases, some municipalities have already started to have a budget deficit in the salary category.

"The Treasury of Kosovo has timely notified the municipalities, which have faced this problem, to make the necessary corrections and adjustments to ensure a sufficient budget for the execution of salaries for the month of September, and all the municipalities have done so except for one. The only municipality that has not made this adjustment is Vitia, which has left primary and secondary education programs without a sufficient budget for the execution of September salaries", the ministry announced.

Being aware of the situation of the employees and the need to receive their salary, the Ministry of Finance has expressed its readiness that whenever the Municipality of Viti makes the necessary adjustments and provides a sufficient budget, they will re-execute the salaries only for these two programs.
