Kosovo Police have arrested the suspect in a serious murder in Vushtrri.

The police announced that yesterday at around 20:35, they received information about gunshots on "Galip Badivuku" street in Vushtrri.

"From the initial investigations at the scene, it was revealed that a suspect had fired a gun at the victim AZ, 19 years old. The victim was taken to the Vushtrri Hospital where the hospital authorities confirmed that the victim had died. By order of the Prosecutor, the victim's body was sent to the IML for autopsy," the police report states. KosovaPress.

From the investigations conducted at the scene and the examinations performed, police investigators found and seized three shell casings as material evidence.

"Police investigators have identified and arrested the suspect BD, 19 years old, from whom a pistol was confiscated that is suspected to have been used by the suspect in the commission of the criminal offense. A search was conducted in the suspect's house where a long gun with five (5) cartridges was also found and confiscated. By decision of the prosecutor, the suspect was placed in police custody," it further states.

According to the police, the investigation is continuing in coordination with the prosecutor of the case to fully clarify all circumstances related to the criminal offense of aggravated murder.
