Italy can become a big team if they play at their best, coach Luciano Spalletti said on Wednesday ahead of a match against Belgium which he described as crucial to their hopes of progressing to the Nations League.
Italy, top of Group Two after winning both matches last month, host Belgium today and Israel on Monday. Belgium are level on three points with second-placed France and Israel are bottom with zero points.
"We will immediately become a big team in every match where we will be able to give our best", said Spalletti in a press conference, KosovaPress reported.
"It is a decisive match for our future," Spalletti said, adding that Roma midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini would be in the starting line-up.
Italy will be without injured Inter midfielder Nicolo, along with Liverpool's Federico Chiesa.
