Chairman of the Democratic League of Kosovo, Lumir Abdixhiku hosted the European Union representative for the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, Peter Sorensen, for a meeting.
The meeting was held behind closed doors, without the presence of the media, while members of the LDK structure participated in the meeting, reports KosovaPress.
Sorensen also met with President Vjosa Osmani and Prime Minister Albin Kurti during the day. On his first visit to Kosovo, he said that the main objective is to move this process forward, but beforehand he said that he will hold talks with the parties and make an assessment of where it is. Asked whether compromise is needed in the dialogue, he said that this is determined by the parties.
Sorensen will stay in Kosovo until March 19, where he is also expected to meet with leaders of other political parties and civil society.
He will then visit Serbia.Sorensen took office in February 2025, succeeding former EU envoy for dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak.
