The Basic Prosecution Office in Mitrovica has requested from the Basic Court in Mitrovica to order pre-trial detention for the defendant with the initials BD, due to suspicion of committing the criminal offenses of "Aggravated Murder" and "Unauthorized Ownership, Control or Possession of Weapons".

According to the police, the defendant BD, on March 23, 2025 at around 20:30 p.m. on "Galip Badivuku" street in Vushtrri, intentionally took the life of the victim with the initials AZ, by shooting and hitting him at least three times in the body with a pistol-type firearm, where the victim died in the Emergency Department of the Vushtrri Hospital as a result of the wounds received from the firearm, reports KosovaPress.

"During questioning, the defendant admitted to committing the criminal offense. The hearing for determining the defendant's detention will be held at the Basic Court in Mitrovica," the statement said.
