The Serbian Parliament, whose spring session began with incidents, will continue its work today with a detailed discussion of dozens of agenda items. The joint debate on the agenda items, including amendments to the Law on Higher Education that would meet one of the demands of the students in the blockade, was characterized by riots, with the throwing of smoke bombs, the use of fire extinguishers and the kicking of deputies, writes N1.

Three MPs received medical attention and, according to Parliament Speaker Ana Brnabić, Serbian Progressive Party MP Jasmina Obradović, who suffered a stroke, remains in serious condition. Pregnant Sonja Ilic and MP Jasmina Karanac are doing well, she told RTS this morning.

Opposition MPs made noise and disrupted proceedings throughout the session with vuvuzelas, whistles and cheers, while government MPs and ministers spoke from their seats, it reports. KosovaPress.

Members of the Criminal Police Directorate conducted an inspection of the Parliament overnight, as part of an investigation to determine how the pyrotechnic devices were brought into the hall. The Ministry of Interior announced that the inspection of the Parliament building was completed overnight after a bomb threat was reported and found to be false.

The last of the more than 60 items on the agenda is the proposal to dismiss the Speaker of the Parliament, Ana Brnabić, submitted by 41 opposition MPs. At the end of the debate, the resignation of Prime Minister Miloš Vučević is also expected to be announced.
