The Minister of Economy, Artane Rizvanolli, spoke tonight in the Assembly of Kosovo about the import of electricity during the four-year mandate of the Kurti Government.

She first addressed the opposition MPs with these words: "the import of electricity, about which you want to talk a lot, but in fact they have left the meeting room even though they have invited this session".

Minister Rizvanolli said that since 2018, the import of electricity has increased every year along with the increase in consumption.

"In 2019 there was a 15 percent annual increase in imports, in 2021 it was 31 percent, in 2022 then again during our government mandate there was a decrease of 33 percent, and then in 2023 there was an increase only as a result of the non-operation of Block B, due to investments. So, when you talk about an increase in the value of imports during our government, you are actually talking about an increase in the price of electricity as a result of a global energy crisis", she said at the session of the Assembly of Kosovo.

The plenary session with a single item on the agenda, the draft resolution for four years of government of the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, is continuing. This debate has been proposed by the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo.
